Marriage through the Internet are longer and qualitative

According to a latest research done in the U.S., a third of marriages linked after 2005 are the result of connections that are initiated via the Internet. Even 50% of connections are initiated by recognition through specialized websites for singles.
In this survey asked more than 19,000 people who were married between 2005 and 2012, which provide a representative sample of the general population. Research shows that people who choose internet love connection are usually older, more affluent and better educated.
It is not entirely clear why the ties that were initiated online are more stable and happier than marriages made in the classic way.
On the one hand, the authors acknowledge that such marriages could have some features which share all the people who will organize meetings via the Internet. However, also note that as previous research has shown that those who communicate online are ready to discover things for themselves, which creates a better sense of connection. Also, being able to choose among a much larger number of potential partners than it would ever be able to have the opportunity to meet someone at work or through friends.
Only 45% of volunteers (online group) is recognized spouses / s their knowledge through online services (eHarmony, Match, Plenty of Fish, Personal Yahoo, etc.), while others were known on Facebook.
