Olympic torch will be taken in open space

Estafetës torch of Olympic Fire "Sochi-2014" for the first time in the history of the Olympic movement in early November of 2013 will be sent Nëdrkombëtar Space Station (ICS) in the pilot aboard the "Soyuz TMA-11m" and then extracted in open space. For security reasons torch light is not planned. This was announced at a press conference in Star City by the Russian Space Agency head Vladimir Popovkin.

In the open space of the Olympic Torch will be issued by Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergei Riazanskij. Olympic Torch will return to Earth by cosmonaut Fyodor Jurçihin, who is currently on the board of ICS.
